Here are just a few of my favourite picture books that provide a great stimulus for P4C:
Beegu by Alexis Deacon (ages 3 – 8; concepts include difference, belonging, childhood)
I Want My Hat Back by Jon Klassen (ages 3 – 8; concepts include stealing, revenge, happiness)
The Tin Forest by H Ward & W Anderson (ages 6 – 8; concepts include imagination, nature, dreams)
War and Peas by Michael Foreman (ages 6 – 9; concepts include food, hunger, peace… this is a funny book despite covering big issues)
The Island by Armin Greder (age 10+; concepts include strangers, cruelty, responsibility… a serious book, brilliantly written and illustrated)
